With a bank holiday in the UK, we took to the English Heritage members handbook and found 3 places within a few miles of each other. The first of the 3 was Wrest Park, about 2 hour drive (with stops).
This was a much bigger place than we thought. We had planned to go to another couple afterwards, but there wasn’t enough time.
We were lucky with the weather, it was a beautiful day.
