Did you know that it was built in the 15th century by William, Lord Hastings along with Ashby de la Zouch castle. As we approached the castle, we couldn’t help but feel a surge of anticipation. The crumbling walls and ruined towers instantly transported us back in time, making us imagine what life was like centuries ago.

Once inside, we explored the grounds at our own pace, getting lost in the many hidden nooks and crannies. As we weaved through the remnants of what was once a grand residence, we couldn’t help but imagine knights and noble ladies strolling through the impressive courtyard.

Throughout our visit, we also learned about the fascinating history of the castle. It served as a symbol of Lord Hastings’ wealth and power. Unfortunately, it was never completed due to Lord Hastings’ untimely death.
