We decided to head out, relatively local for us. We looked on the English Heritage site and found Ashby de-la-Zouch Castle. It is hidden away off the main road, next to a tennis club. There is only parking for Blue Badge holders and staff.
Based on the website, it looked impressive, when we got there I started getting a little nervous, expecting disappointment from the kids, as it is remains of a castle, howver there is a lot of the grounds to explore. There is also a hidden passage
