In pursuit of pop badges, ideally the red Pirate badge we headed to Kirby Hall.

About 1 and half hours drive away, we tested our new game (hopefully going to production soon) – great for the kids, even one of the adults couldn’t stop helping them, kept them entertained.

Didn’t know what to expect when we got there, but as soon as went through the entrance we were greeted by beautiful free peacocks and pea hens, not to forget the wild rabbits running the grounds.

After being distracted by the animals we found an entrance to the building, we found later it wasn’t the main entrance, but never mind. There were beautiful gardens at the rear – again distracted by more animals, cows in the fields next to the hall.

There is plenty of the hall to explore, even a chance to see how it would feel to lie in a kings bed and sit on a throne.

Just a polite note, there are only porta loos here.

We spent just under 2 hours here, but there are other sites not too far.

We also managed to get the elusive Red Pirate pop badge.
