Looking for activities and places to see when on holiday isn’t always easy and can be a risk. We found this Highland Safari online.
Because of the time of year we went on Holiday, they had a special ‘Halloween Safari’. We booked it and just hoped it was worth it.
We arrived on site (a little early – but that’s just who we are). Kids had a play on the play area while we waited, there were 2 families going out, and they keep the family groups together. Binocualrs were supplied but you can always take your own cameras and binoculars.
After heading into the hills, we stopped at various points on the route, hearing stories about the local area and the ‘spooky’ myths and tales surrounding them.
These safaris are risky as you cannot guarantee what or how many animals you will see but the guides know where their normal haunts are so will stop and take as long you need to see them.
At the top of the route there is a cabin, drinks are supplied for everyone including a glass of locally distilled Dewars whisky for the adults of course.
