After the setback with the car on Saturday, all seemed ok. So we decided to plough on with our plan of visiting Stonehenge This gave us the opportunity to visit the famous site and combine this with the kids favourite toys LEGO.
We have been before, and each time we have been we are blown away. The site is free for both English Heritage and National Trust members.
What drew us to try and go this time around was the opportunity to help build a scale model of Stonehenge with LEGO. This was led by Brick Galleria.
Once we had got the tickets and done our bit towards the LEGO struture, we made our way to THE STONES. There are buses to transport you to and from the stones and all included in the entry fee. We decided to walk up (especially as it was a nice day). The walk takes about 3-45 minuets especially with children, but there’s plenty of wildlife to spot on the way up.
Across the field there are actually 2 ways to go, the majority of people went around the wooded area, we decided to head through the woods, more wildlife to spot.
Once at the stones, there are ropes around them, so people don’t get too close, but plenty of chance to take photos of the iconic structure.
You can take as long as you need, take your time, take it all in.
