There is a tradition of taking the kids out somewhere of their chocie for their birthday. The choice for this one was a beach, one with rocks and sand.
Having been to a couple of beaches on the south coast of Wales, we found them on Google Maps and followed the coast round to find a quiet, rocky and sandy beach.
The car was loaded and off we went, quick stop at Strensham services before we hit the M50, about 2 1/2 hours journey for us. It was a cold, wet and windy day, but that doesn’t stop the enjoyment.
This beach has the river runnign direct to the sea, so splits the beach in two. When we arrived we aprked in the first space we could find. All got boots, coats and hats on. At first it looked like we would be really disappointed and back in the car in no time. We followed the river down tothe beach, when we turned the corner the beach ahead of us just opened up. Rocks to one side and the sand and sea to the other.
The kids (including the bigger ones), were stright off to the rocks where we found some little rock pools, with creatures.
