After visiting Stonehenge, we had seen a sign for Woodhenge so took the 10 minute drive there.
Woodhenge is a neolithic site, inline with Stonehenge across the Wiltshire countryside. This site had a structure of 6 ovals made of wooden posts (these have now been replaced with concrete ballards).
There are notices on some of the ballards explainign their significance.
As you willsee for this with an interest in Maths, there are some mathematical guides to placement of the posts.
Once we had a look around here, in the field next to it, there was a National Trust sign for the Cuckoo Stone.
This meant walking through a field with sheep and some young lambs, they will move out of your way, but please be respectful of their land, and watch your feet.
The Cuckoo Stone is a similar stone to those used to construct Stonehenge.
