A Memorable Visit to the National Wallace Monument
We had the pleasure of visiting the majestic National Wallace Monument, located near Stirling, Scotland. It was an incredible experience that transported me back in time and left me with a deep appreciation for Scotland’s history. Allow me to share the highlights of my visit with you!
Just getting to the monument itself was a climb. A winding path, with woodent sculptures on the way to encourage little legs up.
The Towering Monument
As we approached the National Wallace Monument, its imposing structure stood proudly on Abbey Craig, overlooking the picturesque Stirling countryside. The monument, built in honor of Scotland’s national hero, Sir William Wallace, is a sight to behold. The towering 220-foot-tall sandstone tower seemed to reach for the sky, emanating a sense of awe and grandeur.

Ascending the tower, we couldn’t help but feel the excitement building up. The first thing that caught our attention was the fascinating exhibition on the ground floor. From this vantage point, we gazed upon the majestic Stirling Castle, the winding River Forth, and the rolling hills that encapsulate the beauty of Scotland.
